A New Stitch

A new stitch for me anyway. Now that I've finished the last pair of fingerless gloves I intend to make (until next year!) I have my sights on a cute little lacy beret:

This pattern calls for one stitch I'm vaguely familiar with (cable) and some I've only touched on, including purling in the front and back of a stitch. Thankfully, I found a great instructional video on YouTube:
