I received an email yesterday informing me I finaled in the Heart of the Rockies contest for unpublished writers. The news came hours after learning a writing friend of mine had passed from life to life, and is now with the Lord. The mix of emotion was incredible, and I struggled between joy and sorrow.
But the feeling that overwhelmed them all was gratitude. I'm both grateful that I had the chance to meet this dear lady and fellowship with her for nearly four years, and I'm thankful for the opportunity provided by the Colorado Romance Writers in extending this opportunity to aspiring authors.
