The Quietest Health Care Rant You'll Read

Our tiny church must pay $24,000 a year for our medical insurance.

We did not have pre-existing conditions.

We rarely go to the doctors (my husband hasn't been in four years by choice.)

Our medical insurance still costs $24,000 a year.

Though our church must pay this $24,000 a year for the two of us, we still have a $4,000 deductible.

This means we have to pay $4,000 out-of-pocket before the insurance will cover 80% of the costs for medical tests.

Our insurance is basically unusable.

No, I do not want socialized medicine.

I do not want the government making medical decisions for me. The government can't run itself fiscally. They certainly can't run something as complicated as healthcare.

See how veterans are treated at the VA? That's how it will be.

I definitely don't want Socialists making medical decisions for me.

I want a free market and better healthcare. The AHA offers neither.
